Three new capabilities,
one update.
A motorized stage for the Nano-Observer II, full Dimension 3000 & 3100 control with the Galaxy Dual Controller, and an extended −40 °C to +450 °C thermal range.
The Motorized Stage: Move. Map. Measure.
We just added a major new capability to the Nano-Observer II. The motorized stage lets you navigate, map and measure across large samples — all without touching the sample.
Ideal for large-sample mapping, multi-site statistical analysis, and high-throughput workflows. Fully automated measurements free you from the manual positioning loop.

The Galaxy Dual Controller now brings full modern functionality to the Dimension 3000 & 3100 — transforming an existing platform into an advanced characterization system without replacing the mechanics.
- Full AFM modes available
- CCD software integrated
- Motorized stage software control
- Fully automated measurements for faster workflows
Now from −40 °C to +450 °C
The EZ TEMP module on the Nano-Observer II now covers an exceptionally wide thermal range — enabling in-situ AFM from cryogenic phase transitions to high-temperature studies of ceramics, polymers, and phase-change materials.
SThM — Scanning Thermal Microscopy
The updated SThM mode extends the platform’s thermal toolkit beyond environment control: map local thermal conductivity and heat-transport variations at the nanoscale, and correlate them directly with topography. Combined as Soft-SThM, it enables thermal characterization on soft and fragile samples without lateral stress.
